Sustainable development

Sustainability, as a core value.

Ski Saint-Bruno has taken the Sustainable Tourism by 2030 pledge, to strengthen and improve its sustainability performance by the end of the decade.

Environment

Reducing our environmental footprint

Preserving winter also means taking care of our mountain. At Ski Saint-Bruno, we adopt concrete practices to protect our playground—by improving waste management, promoting more responsible food choices, and encouraging sustainable mobility. Every action we take today helps keep the magic of tomorrow alive.

Our Commitments

  • Waste Management
We are committed to reducing waste at the source and improving sorting through adapted infrastructure, awareness initiatives, and community engagement.
  • Sustainable Food
We promote a local, responsible, and diverse food offering by focusing on vegetarian options, regional partnerships, and reducing food waste.
  • Sustainable Mobility
We aim to encourage more sustainable transportation to the mountain by exploring collective, shared, and active mobility solutions.

Our Concrete Actions

  • A snow-covered mountain, without a drop of drinking water
Our snowmaking is 100% supplied by non-potable water, thanks to our retention basin and a partnership with DJL, the neighboring quarry.
  • Shining brighter, consuming less
New in 2025 – We’ve replaced all mountain lighting with LED fixtures, significantly reducing energy consumption while enhancing visibility and safety.
  • Responsible sourcing policy
Our responsible procurement policy guides every purchasing decision. We prioritize local suppliers, durable products, and a focus on quality and environmental respect.
  • Annual mountain clean-up
Every spring, our team cleans the mountain by collecting waste left behind by winter. A collective effort to care for our environment.
  • Metal recycling
We recover and recycle steel, stainless steel, and aluminum to reduce waste and support a circular economy.
  • Electric vehicle charging stations
Two EV charging stations are available onsite to encourage more sustainable mobility options.
Social

Social commitment and inclusion

Creating memorable experiences also means ensuring that everyone can fully enjoy the mountain. True to our mission — “Creating memorable experiences by offering an accessible and inclusive site for learning and enjoying winter sliding sports” — we are committed to placing accessibility, safety, and inclusion at the heart of everything we do.

Our Commitments

  • Safety and accessibility
We are committed to providing a safe and accessible environment for all by adapting our facilities and strengthening our internal communication around prevention.
  • Community engagement
We strive to make a positive impact beyond the mountain by supporting local causes, encouraging volunteerism, and fostering partnerships within our community.

Our Concrete Actions

  • Season opening in support of Moisson Rive-Sud
At Ski Saint-Bruno, we start the season by giving back to the community. In 2024, our opening day generated an impact value of $124,302 for Moisson Rive-Sud.
  • Ticket donations for fundraising efforts
Each year, we donate several hundred tickets to community organizations and sports teams to support their fundraising campaigns.
  • Policy for preventing workplace violence, harassment, and discrimination
We enforce a zero-tolerance policy for all forms of harassment. We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and caring environment for every member of our team.
Governance

Governance and engagement

Sustainable development guides our decisions at every level of the organization. We integrate these principles into our governance through structured policies, stakeholder consultation, and the rigorous monitoring of our commitments. By training our teams and encouraging participation, we aim to build a corporate culture that is firmly focused on the future.

Our Commitments

  • Leadership and Strategy
We integrate sustainable development into our strategic decisions by establishing clear policies, measurable objectives, and a dedicated committee to drive our progress forward.
  • Communication and Engagement
We equip and involve our teams through training, transparency, and consultation, so that every member of our organization becomes an active contributor to change.

Our Concrete Actions

  • Gender Parity in Key Roles
We ensure equitable representation of women and men in leadership positions and key functions.
  • Sustainable Development Policy
Our sustainable development policy is built on five main pillars: environment, social, economy, culture, and governance. It helps guide us toward more responsible daily choices, concrete actions, and steady progress—always in line with our core values.
