THE MOUNTAIN

PRIVILEGES

The holder acknowledges that in the event of a default, Domaine du Ski Mont-Bruno Inc. may, at its sole discretion, withdraw all or part of the privileges granted to the holder by this contract and confiscate their pass or lift ticket without further notice and any reimbursement or compensation. Any pass or lift ticket issued under this contract remains the property of Domaine du Ski Mont-Bruno Inc., and the holder shall agree to return it upon simple request.

RISKS AND DANGERS

The holder recognizes that sliding sports involve inherent risks. They must be aware of, accept, and assume full responsibility for any material damage or physical injury resulting from such risks and dangers. Sliding sports include, but are not limited to, the following inherent risks:

  • Changing weather conditions
  • Changes in the degree of slope steepness
  • The presence of natural obstacles and the condition of the mountain (any natural condition of the mountain, such as the presence of ditches, crevices, streams, rocks, soil, areas not covered by snow, trees, saplings, shrubs, stumps, and any other natural obstacles)
  • The presence of ice and ice patches
  • Any changes in the conditions of the skiable surface
  • Any collisions with another skier or person
  • The presence of pylons, poles and other structures required to operate the resort, as well as any collisions with these objects
  • The use of ski lifts
  • The presence on the trails of mobile trail maintenance equipment, emergency vehicles as well as snowmaking equipment
  • This contract is subject to the laws in effect in the province of Quebec. Both the signatory and the issuer agree to elect judicial domicile in Quebec, in the judicial district of the ski station and choose it as the exclusive forum for any claim whatsoever arising out of this contract.

MOUNTAIN CODE OF CONDUCT

Code adopted pursuant to the Act respecting safety in sports. This Code applies to any person who participates in a sliding sport.

  • Maintain control of your speed and direction.
  • Make sure you are able to stop and avoid any person or obstacle.
  • Yield the right of way to people downhill (lower) and travel in a direction that ensures their safety.
  • Stop on a trail only if you are visible to people uphill (higher up) and if you are not obstructing the trail.
  • Yield to those uphill (higher) when entering a trail and at intersections.
  • If you are involved in or witness an accident, remain at the scene and identify yourself to a first responder.
  • Use and wear an appropriate gear bindings system at all times.
  • Do not use the lifts and trails if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Obey all signs and warnings and never venture off-trail or onto closed trails.
  • Practicing a sliding sport involves inherent risks of which you must be aware. For a safe and rewarding experience, you must respect the Mountain Code of Conduct at all times and show courtesy to others.

You must respect all other rules and signs for specific activities physically identified by Domaine du Ski Mont-Bruno Inc.

Be vigilant and respect the code. It’s your responsibility!

SNOW PARKS

I am aware and acknowledge that the Snow Park contains many manufactured and/or natural jumps and moguls, ramps, curbs or embankments, contoured surfaces and other features that facilitate a “sporty” or more “exciting” descent and any other features that are part of the park.

I recognize that practicing “freestyle” requires a high degree of skill to maintain control both on the ground and in the air.

I agree to make a trial run of the park each time I visit and to try out the moguls and jumps progressively, according to my skill level.

I understand that wearing a helmet is mandatory and that while it helps reduce the risk of serious head injury, it cannot eliminate it. I also understand that wearing a helmet does not prevent injuries to the face, neck or spine.

I realize that conditions can change and/or deteriorate during the course of a day and that, in such an event, I will have to remain attentive to the changes and adjust.

I know that reverse aerial maneuvers are prohibited, as they can result in serious permanent injury or death.

I have read the rules and regulations of the Mont Saint-Bruno ski station and the park, and I agree to respect them.

Failure to comply with the rules of the Snow Park and the Mountain Code of Conduct may result in the suspension or withdrawal of the lift ticket or season pass.

I am aware that this sport can cause damage to equipment and clothing.

Therefore, I release Domaine du Ski Mont-Bruno Inc. from liability for any accident, personal injury or damage to equipment and clothing.

CLOSING OR REDUCED OPERATIONS

No refund, total or partial, of products or services purchased by the holder, nor any compensation for any prejudice or inconvenience whatsoever, shall be admissible against the resort in connection with the fact that the resort cannot operate its facilities and offer all its services at full capacity, but must cease operations completely or offer reduced services due to, but not limited to, weather, climate or atmospheric conditions, sliding conditions, the volume of ski traffic, lack of workforce, health conditions, power failure, governmental order limiting or ceasing operations or any other cause preventing the resort from operating all of its lifts and/or making all of its facilities available to the holder.

No credits or refunds shall be granted in relation to health measures imposed and approved by Government of Quebec public health authorities.

In the event of a group purchase, the refund request must be made by the primary holder duly identified at the time of the initial transaction.
